About Berglind
Berglind graduated with a law degree from the University of Iceland in 1989, obtained her license to practice before the District Court in 1995, and was granted the right to appear before the Supreme Court of Iceland in 2008. She also became a certified real estate and ship broker in 1996. She received a Diploma in Management from the University of Akureyri in 2006.
Berglind is a partner at Lögfræðistofa Reykjavíkur ehf. She has worked as a practicing attorney since 1996. She operated her own law firm and real estate agency in Húsavík from 1996 to 2007, having previously worked for six years as a legal officer at the District Commissioner’s Office in Húsavík, where she also served as deputy commissioner during her final year.
Berglind was one of the founders of Regula Law Firm, which operated in Höfn, Húsavík, and Egilsstaðir from 2003 to 2010, and in Reykjavík from 2005. From 2011 to 2016, she co-managed Acta Law Firm ehf., which later merged with Lögfræðistofa Reykjavíkur ehf.
She served on the winding-up committee of SPB hf. from 2009 to 2016. Berglind was the Chair of the Icelandic Bar Association from 2018 to 2021 and was also a board member of the Association from 2014 to 2017. She has been a member of the Board of Directors of Landsbankinn hf. since 2016.
